12Bet free bet: £25 matched
Bye, bye, 12 bet. We liked you for a while, at least when you had a sensible free bet offer. However, this latest free bet - a £190 'free bet' is not at all the kind of promotion that we like our readers to get sucked into.
That's why we're protesting and we're saying no more - you won't get any more promotion on Free Bet Bookmaker until you offer a more straightforward free bet.
Here's why we don't like it:
It's promoted as a 20% sign-up bonus, up to £190. £190 sounds like a lot of money but actually, you have to deposit £950 just to get your £190. Yes, you'll get your bonus instantly, but you have 60 days in which to wager TWELVE times the initial deposit AND the bonus. Confused yet? You will be...
That means that if you have deposited £950 of your hard-earned money into 12bet, you now have to bet 12 x (£950 + £190), and that comes to £13,680. In 60 days. Good luck to you.
Even if you are depositing £25, to get a £5 bonus, you'll have to bet £360 before you can claim any potential winnings.
Again, 60 days, or the bonus amount AND your winnings will be forfeited. Yes, you have 60 days or you lose even your winnings. It's crazy isn't it.
What's more, you can't just bet on anything, you have to make bets on odds of above 1.5 (nothing 1.5 or below). So they're really making sure that the odds are weighted their side.
Now - call me a bluff old traditionalist, but the Paddy Power free bet has been around for ages, and they have players flocking to them all the time. It's a simple bet £10, get £20 free bet deal - yes, you have a minimum odds requirement and you don't get the stake back, but I don't want the stake, I want £20 free bet.
This Skybet free bet allows you to sign up and play with their money - a totally free bet no deposit required.
And if you want a simple matched bet, then why not try William Hill who are giving you a £25 free bet when you deposit and bet £25. That's simple, not like this ridiculous 12bet offer. So, sorry, 12bet, we've got to say goodbye now. £13,680 just to withdraw your bonus winnings is bang out of order, it's irresponsible, and it's not for us.
